How much of your science background do you bring into your writing, or do you use the writing as escapism?

Martin Wilsey I bring a massive amount of my science background to my writing. It's one of the reasons I enjoy writing Hard Science Fiction. If you get all the real science correct when you get to that line and step over into things like Faster Than Light travel and Artificial Gravity, it's easier for the reader.
