What made you decide to write a YA novel?

Mackenzie Flohr That's actually an interesting question because I wasn't intending on writing a YA novel. My intention was to write for those who grew up with Harry Potter, but as the book evolved, I started to feel it was actually more appropriate for YA. That was validated when my editor said the same thing!
