Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Pooja Nansi "Love is an Empty Barstool" was inspired by a year in which I was close to turning 30 and I had come out of some unhealthy relationships and was wondering what it meant to love and to lose. The image of the empty barstool implies to me that maybe you are drinking alone because someone left, or maybe someone exciting is going to have a seat next to you. So this collection of poems is also a little bit of a blues songbook to singlehood
