How do you get to writing? I'm really struggling with just sitting down and actually writing stories well. Everything gets jumbled and I can never come back to stories. Do you have any advice on how to get better at just getting to writing, or on where to start? Thanks!

Kendare Blake This is a tough one. There could be any number of solutions, and every writer and every story is different. Try thinking about your story. For a long time. Visualize scenes. Hear the dialogue. Outline, maybe. And practice, practice, practice. It won't be perfect at first, and don't expect it to be. Take the pressure off of yourself and just enjoy the process. Good luck!

If any one your books were to go all the way into being made into series, (I'm personally hoping for a Mortal Gods movie!) how much influence do you think you'd have in the screenplay writing process? Do you invent them from the top of your heard, or do you get inspired by real events/people/places? I'm asking you this question because one of my friends just told me about the Beltane Fire Festival in Edinburgh and I couldn't help but think of the Beltane ceremony in Three Dark Crowns.
