Hello Good Sir! I am a huge fan of your writing and I have only just begun. I started with Hater, sorry it took so long to discover your masterminded awesomeness:) not that I am huge fan of great books being adapted into films but if Hater were to become a film do you have an idea of who you have in mind for Danny and the other chracters? Also what is your favorite horror flick and your favorite horror book?

Great to hear you've found my books and have been enjoying them. Thank you! Your first question is easy to give a kind of answer to... I've thought long and hard about who I'd like to play Danny, and I think I'd like it to be a complete unknown. The key to Danny is his ordinariness, how he's the guy on the street... an average Joe. I think to have a big name star playing him would detract from the impact of the story somewhat. That said, I did used to think Simon Pegg would be perfect. Great comedic timing for the first scenes, and a chance to do something very different later in the film when things get a little bleak for Danny.
My favourite horror book: The Day of the Triffids by John Wyndham. It's no exaggeration to say my life changed when I first read it. Runner up: Domain by James Herbert.
My favourite horror movie: Threads. You may not have heard of it. It's a 1985 BBC TV film showing the effects of a nuclear war on the residents of Sheffield, UK. Absolutely terrifying, and I've never seen anything else like it. I wrote a piece about it for my website: http://davidmoody.net/2010/09/07/thre...

The world you created within Autumn was the first time I believed in a world where not only could the 'undead' exist - but that I felt I'd have a chance of surviving! Thank you so much for this. It was a joy to immerse myself in. Will you be writing any more follow ups based in this world?
