Who is your favorite fictional couple, and why?

Michael Robotham I can't stick to just one couple: Westley and Buttercup from THE PRINCESS BRIDE - a wonderful film that I watch every Xmas with my kids and quote ad nauseum. On a more serious front, I'll opt for Jay Gatsby and Daisy Buchanan - because doomed love affairs are more interesting than perfect ones.
