Any particular book of Stout you would recommend as a favorite?

Daniel Quinn Speaking only of the Nero Wolfe mysteries (the others not being being in the same class), I'd recommend NOT starting with the first, Fer -De-Lance, nor with Death of a Dude or Black Mountain, which are set outside his home territory. Start with The Doorbell Rang, Before Midnight, or Plot It Yourself, but none of the others will disappoint.
