Which do you prefer, self-publishing or traditional publishing?

Lisa Renee Jones Oooh that's a hard one! They both have their up sides and down sides. It's really a toss up most of the time. Much like all markets traditional and indie go through cycles. Indie enables you to have much more control over your career, but traditional publishing offers a bit more security with an advance and some bigger perks at times media-wise, though you can definitely procure those in indie as well. So it's really about testing the waters and seeing which one works for you best. I like both and having diversity in my career at the current moment :)
