I'm currently reading I've Got And in All the Wrong Places and I just have to tell you... My mother passed away in 1986 when I was a mere 22 years old. Not a day goes by that I don't miss her, but to this day (or should I say night?), I get signs from her frequently in the form of streetlights. They randomly pop on or click off when I drive by them and I just KNOW it's her telling me hello. Crazy, huh?

G, I'm so sorry you lost your mom at such a young age. I know how hard it was to lose Mother Mary at age 92. I fully believe that all of the signs that you are seeing are from your mother, and it is wonderful that you feel and experience her presence. I have a question - about your first book - It says it was published in 1993 but cant really find if that was a hard copy or trade paperback. Cant wait for your next book - I read the first chapter and am hooked already. I see you are coming to Westport CT and I hope to make it there to see you and get a couple of signatures :)?

At what stage in your writing process do you feel comfortable accepting outside editorial suggestions? Besides the editor at the publisher, do you stick with trusted readers, and when do you know what changes to accept and reject? (Being a writer myself, I struggle with these questions)
