This goes way back to my middle school reading, but my favorite couple has always been John Carter and Dejah Thoris from the Edgar Rice Burroughs books. Their interplanetary romance provides inspiration for anyone who ever loved anyone of a different race or religion and anyone who tried a long distance relationship.
