Who is your favorite fictional couple, and why?

Lisa G. Shore I love the dynamic between Aderra and Elixir in "Gifts of the Crysnix". They are lifelong friends and Aderra has always had a huge crush on Elixir but they never get together until the very end of the book. Even then, the reader is left hanging because even though we finally know that Elixir realizes he loves Aderra and Aderra can finally let her guard down, the book ends!! Their love story is an undercurrent throughout the whole book. I loved writing how the two almost get together so many times, only to have the spell broken by wailing sirens, fire catastrophes, and trumpets heralding. Their love story is based on a deep love that begins as childhood friends and blossoms into a young adult passion that is held at bay until old baggage is swept away. We'll have to wait for the sequel to see that passion flourish!
