Hey Rachel! Quite a while back since I met you in person. So, I'm loving how I can contact you via Goodreads. Might I just say, your books just keep getting better and better! What inspired you to write Devil's Bargain and Duel? Books I could not bear to leave down for a second! As was the same for Prince of Shadows and Morganville!

Thank you, that's so very kind! You're always welcome to email me directly at rachelcainewriter@gmail.com, since I'm not on here often. I check that daily.
I'm thrilled you enjoyed Devil's Bargain/Duel ... heh, as to what inspired it, it was something I saw happen in a bar when I was out with friends. Someone came in a gave a woman an envelope, and then was gone when she opened it. I'm 99% sure it was a process server in action, but she seemed so baffled and weirded out that I thought, what if it was something else ... like a giant check from someone she didn't know? And then I played the what-if game (my favorite) to determine what the plot would be from there.
Prince of Shadows is still near and dear to my heart. Thank you for saying that! And Morganville is such fun, always.

Hi Rachel. I'm a big fan of your Morganville Vampires series! My question for you is, what is your writing process? This question always fascinates me. I know you have alot of books written, so was curious if you have found your groove in a certain way of doing things? Hopefully this hasn't already been asked too often. I couldn't see on here that it has :)
