Goodreads asked Sarvesh Jain:

Who is your favorite fictional couple, and why?

Sarvesh Jain Before I answer, my fictional couple is not from books, but from TV Shows!

I've watched 2000+ episodes, series of FRIENDS, How I met your mother, House MD, Anger Management, The Big Bang Theory, Suits, Two Broke Girls, Two and a half man, Modern Family, House of Cards, The Girlfriend Experience, The Mentalist, The Seinfeld, Boston Legal, Last Men Standing, and currently watching Orange is the New Black.

My favorite fictional couple is - Alan Shore and Denny Crane from Boston Legal. (Spoiler alert: Yes, they did get married in the end so they're a legal couple.)

5 Reasons to support my choice.

1. Because they're flamingos. (You have to watch the series to understand the great importance of being the flamingo.)

2. Moments like Denny and Alan donning flamingo costumes, engaging in paintball fights, being tied together in bed, joining the Coast Guard and so much and so more. They do everything together, even if it means weird, awkward moments with each other. Alan and Denny seem to be quintessential men: one conservative, one liberal, but both in love with women, sex, whiskey, and cigars.

3. Denny is completely comfortable sharing his most depressing, abandoning and sad stories of his life, without worrying that it'll affect on how he thinks of him. That's the sign of utmost trust.

4. Unlike most heterosexual male friendships depicted onscreen, Alan and Denny hold hands, openly affirm their love for each other, and sleep over at one another’s house, at times in the same bed.

5. Denny and Alan Shore are close friends, despite their great political differences. Every day they take out time to enjoy a cigar and a glass of Scotch on the balcony. Denny breaks off a marriage proposal because it would prevent him from spending time with Alan. That's friendship my friend, that's friendship.

The closest next favorite couple would be Joey and Chandler from FRIENDS.
