SO hard to answer this, because there are so many great ones. Jamie and Claire from the OUTLANDER series come to mind right away. Both are practical, loving, loyal, and brave. Each brings something to the table in the relationship. Also, Gilbert and Anne from the ANNE OF GREEN GABLES series. Gil is so endearing and sweet, I couldn't understand how Anne didn't dissolve into a puddle right away.
In romance, my favorite thing about a couple is the way they make each other whole. I love to write about "broken" people who learn to heal because they see that they are already whole and strong through their partner's eyes.
