I usually like the couple of the latest book I'm reading, and more like than not, it will be m/m. But if we're talking m/f, how about John Carter and Dejah Thoris? He's a gentleman soldier and she's a feisty Princess of Mars.
More currently, Eve Dallas and Roarke, because she's one tough-o mama. I absolutely LOVE when she takes on the smug and snooty. As for Roarke, he's a billionaire who's so in love with his detective wife it's a sweet wonder to read. Also... billionaire. They never have to worry about the bills. Plus he gave the humongous diamond she wears above her heart.
