Who is your favorite fictional couple, and why?

Sandi Brackeen That's a tough call. I'm not sure I have a single favorite couple. Eve and Roarke are up there at the top of the list as are Sherlock and Savitch, and Anita Blake and Micah/Nathaniel/Jean-Claude. I obviously like a heroine who does not rely on the hero to take care of her, and has no need to. I like a hero who brings his own talents to the relationship but is not threatened by the abilities of his lady love. Those couples have those qualities.
