At first I felt the same. But then I thought- did he deliver a great story? Were there not clever plot twists? Weren't the descriptions of the people and places original and descriptive.
Herron delivered. Like John Wayne dying in " the cowboys" I was sad it happened, but it didn't detract from the story. Like Casablanca, there were unresolved issues. Did the Dogs save him? Did he escape? Not the ending I would have chosen, but one I can live with.

I feel the exact same way! Like what? That’s it? But I guess “nobody walks.” Was flea and agent?
