I had a tough time with this one. I absolutely LOVED Overstory so backtracked into what he wrote before. While his writing is actually pretty lovely, and the story itself had promise, the characters did absolutely nothing for me. I don't think i liked a single one, really. That makes any book a tough sell for me.
