Goodreads asked Brianna Hale:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Brianna Hale I have two writer's block strategies: a non-deadline strategy and an oh-crap-I-have-a-deadline strategy!

The non-deadline strategy is for when you open your WIP and you just aren't feeling the spark but you want to get words down on a page because this is your precious writing time. My initial go-to is switching to writing scenes in bullet point. If even that makes me want to ram a pen in my eye, I try another project-related task like writing the synopsis, or working on another project completely. It's never to early to think about your next book!

The oh-crap-I-have-a-deadline solution, for when you HAVE to work on a project, is what I like to call Write or Die (of boredom). Close down everything on your computer except your WIP. Turn your phone onto flight mode. Set a timer to forty-five minute blocks. And then just sit there. You're not allowed to do anything except sit in silence looking at your page, or work. If you dislike boredom as much as I do, this will have you writing in minutes!
