Goodreads asked Jane West:

How do you get inspired to write?

Jane West Encouragement helps. I love sharing my work with others and hearing their understanding of the story. And just the love to write and tell a story well. Building characters from the ground up. Developing them into realistic people with flaws and as a writer, you begin to fall in love with your characters and love to hate the ones that are dark and insidious. It's story-making that excites me. When I create characters, I enjoy creating monsters. Twisted, I know but what's fun is pulling back the layers and discovering why they are evil. I like creating difficult heroes. The bad boy that all the girls want yet no one can have his heart ... except for that one girl.
