I just finished your novel Everything You Want Me to Be!!! I loved how Hattie starts as a teenage sociopath and comes to a realization all of her parts are drowning her. The scene in the ditch was wow powerful! Now the question, I felt as if Hattie hid behind her acting roles and Peter hid behind literature... was that your intention????

I should've known better Ms Mejia, I believe you sent me this book a long time ago and I had neglected to read it. I am so glad I am doing so now! It is 'kick-ass' good. I am of the opinion that when we are meant to understand a book, we need to be able to learn its' teachings. Why did it take me so long to get to yours?

Just finished reading EYWMTB. The scene towards the end of the book where Hattie is convincing Peter to go to New York is very powerful. I found it thought-provoking that neither Hattie nor Peter were being judged (by you) about the appropriateness of their relationship. It didn't work in this case, but under different circumstances it may have.? Andrew
