Um, not sure b/c it doesn't really happen. If anything, I'll take a lot of time thinking through plots scenarios or continuity issues to make sure they seem reasonable. I don't ever want to over explain, but problems and solutions need to be plausible and believable. But I always have ideas flowing and changing.
IF I do get stumped best thing to do is let it go and not keep harping on it. That's when you start forcing the issue and the story doesn't flow well. Your mind will keep thinking on the issue subconsciously and you never know what will inspire you moving forward.
