Taran Matharu Fletcher realises that the woman in the cage was never Rufus's mother. Rufus's mother died when she fell all those years ago. Instead, it was his mother, who he thought had died in the attack when he was a baby, who had been kidnapped and held by the orcs.

Also, Book 3 is coming in May, not March ;-).
