Amber
Amber asked A.L. Knorr:

You have rich characterization. How do you create character details before writing about them?

A.L. Knorr Hi Amber! Thanks for the question and the compliment. My characters are often a mashup of people I imagine, myself, and people I know. I work hard on my empathy skills, to really feel what someone else might be feeling in a situation and put myself in their shoes. I think empathy is one of the most important things to cultivate in ourselves, our children, and especially for authors. It's the reason my bad guys are never all bad, and my good guys are never all good - because no one is like that in real life.
