I have learned that it is possible to achieve peace and contentedness without detangling and resolving seemingly unfinished business and after loving something that will never manifest a return-on-investment-in-resources; confirmed that no one person is either superior nor inferior to any other person; reminded myself that memories from seemingly disparate contexts, times, and places in my experience that appear in the present context, time, and place are all a part of me; made me question the recommendation for a passionless life (it seems Siddhartha found his totality through a commitment to his passion for listening to the river, while Govinda found his totality by returning to his passion for Siddhartha's intellect); reminded me to see the seemingly bad as well as the seemingly good: the main point here is to see all, to see the totality, to see the complete, rounded picture
