Hey Rebecca! I'm curious to know where your inspirations come from? For the Scorpious series, was it an idea that evolved, did it just come to you all at once and then evolved over time? I'm stuggling to find inspiration for my own writing.

Hi Shelly,
Curiosity is the key - that's for sure! I think you can get inspiration anywhere. Watch your favorite television show and then rewrite what you think should or shouldn't have happened. Walk through a graveyard and choose two names to use as characters. Start daydreaming about 'what if.'
Two things kind of happened to bring about the Scorpius Syndrome series. The first was that I watched one of the Transformer movies where the hero ended up driving through a demolished city, and I wondered who'd survive a big pandemic. The second thing was that I wanted to write a chapter for our local chapter and just wrote that first scene from Mercury Striking for fun. When Lynne's heart ended up blue, it was a surprise to me on the page. I had to go and figure out why later.

Hi! I got question for you, Helen Reese... She is a widow, right? There is that virus that frees the mating bond from dead mates. The woman seems to still be in her prime. (if you know what I mean) Sooo, is our Demoness going find a new love somewhere? Or maybe, someone who got away, before she ended up mated with sons. She seems to be free spirited enough to see who or what she wants & go for it. What's the verdict?

Hey Rebecca - I am soooo in love with this series! Can't wait for Sam's, Garrett's, and Hope's story. I feel like I know these people and they are my friends, lols! I'm hoping Pax comes around...I'd love to see him with Hope :) But I know you have a plan! Anyways, huge fan here! I'm reading your Deep Ops right now! Will do more with this series after Hope's story?
