I sure have! In the Scorpius Syndrome, Raze just appeared on the page in book one and pretty much demanded a book. In the Dark Protectors, at the beginning, I hadn't planned on the series really being Janie's story until Zane just showed up, and then it put the entire series into order. And for the Realm Enforcers...that Bear didn't even exist when I signed a four book contract. The minute he did, my editor contacted me and said we just had to have a story for Bear, and that she'd send an amendment to the contract to my editor. :) I agreed.

Seeing as so many of your immortal species are only capable of reproducing male children, is it possible for there to be gay immortals?
