A Goodreads user asked Elizabeth Hoyt:

Hello Elizabeth;) I hope my question will not be out of place. Do you plan to evolve a little further relationships between Bridget and Lazarus/Amelia Caire or Val and Lazarus? Because the past of each person is bound to affect their now enormously, and this now as I understand is outlined to be a family one. Are you sure you are not going to write an additional epilogue? Ekaterina

Elizabeth Hoyt Hi Ekaterina,
Frankly I don't think so, even thought I'd really like to. I always wanted to do a novella for the elder Lady Caire, which would be a bit of a stretch since she's in her late 50's-early 60's--NOT the normal age of a romance heroine! But I think she's a very interesting character with a tragic life.
However, it looks like I won't be including these characters with any depth in the one book and two novellas I'm still contracted for to end the Maiden Lane series. I try to make a point of only bringing a character back if it serves the needs of the current book/novella.
I still get reader mail asking about characters in the Princes books (now over ten years old) and the Legend of the Four Soldiers series. I think it's practically impossible to wrap up all the threads in a series, especially one as long as Maiden Lane.
And at this point I've already started planning for my next series... Which means I have years yet of reader mail asking why I never wrote about so and so from the Maiden Lane series. ;-)
