Ramona Popescu
Ramona Popescu asked Linda Kage:

Hi Linda! I am a huge fan on the Forbidden series. I've started with Noel, but in the end Quinn and Brandt are my favorites:) My question has to do with Priceless: What determined you to write about Sarah, with a strong focus on her condition? I'm asking you this because I consider Priceless to be the best from the series in terms of message, and the way Brandt loved her despite her limitations was amazing:) Ramona

Linda Kage Hey Ramona! Oh gosh, I didn't even realize I put a strong focus on Sarah's condition. Though, now that I think back on it, I supposed I did! LOL! Maybe it was because someone with CP asked me to write the story and I wanted to represent her to the best of my ability, so I focused on getting in details as accurately as I could.

In all honestly, I just wrote the story how I thought Sarah would see everything from her perspective. To her, I figured her condition would just be part of life, not such a big deal. To those closest to her, it would maybe make them a little more protective of her, but they'd still love her just as much as anyone, and then to outsiders, it might be the only thing they could see and would be unable to get to know the real Sarah. I figured she'd have to deal with the world's reaction to her and the physical hurdles it placed in her path on a daily basis so that is probably why it was so prevalent in the story. I'm not completely sure.

Sometimes I just write, and what comes out is what comes out! LOL! Sorry, I don't have a very good bead on the science of it all! The ideas just come, so I write them down! But I'm glad you liked Priceless all the same! Thank you so much! Hugs, Linda
