Goodreads asked Anurag Tripathi:

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Anurag Tripathi I have several suggestions for aspiring writers:

a) Please don't write for money. Don't get me wrong, we all need money for a lively-hood, but if what is driving you to write is commercial success, then my friend, you are already on a very steep slope.

b) Writing is a very tedious process. While we all like to write about things we know, based on our personal experiences, it is my suggestion that you write about something that you 'wish to know' rather than something that you 'know already'.

c) Before starting on your dream project, please do ask the question, why would someone be interested in reading what I am writing? This will tremendously help you later when you are trying to market the book. It is easier to sell a marketable product than to create a product which has no market and then try to sell it.

4) Enjoy the process of writing. Like they say, travel is not only about reaching the destination, it is about the experience of travel itself.
