Right now no company has optioned TNP. There was some interest right after the book came out, but I believe the fact the book takes place almost entirely in the water scared off most of the producers. I did get an inquiry from the producer of Ella Enchanted and Tuck Everlasting about a year ago. She was intrigued by the story but also thought a TNP movie would be very expensive to film.
