Hi Chris. I have been to your book tour at Quail Ridge books in Raleigh NC for the last two Januarys. Your tour plans don't show you in NC at all this time. Is there still a chance that it might be added? I have read an early copy of The Sleepwalker (loved it) and would love to hear you talk about it. Thanks

Hi, Sue,
Greetings back! Lovely to hear from you.
No, North Carolina is not on the tour this year. I wish it were because there are so many great bookstores and so many wonderful readers.
Unfortunately, we need to keep these tours to three weeks and 20 or 21 venues. And because I have had the privilege of visiting North Carolina on every tour since 2012 -- plus some other speeches -- Doubleday is sending me to some different cities in January.
Would you forgive me? I know I will be back again soon.
And thank you so much for your kind words about "The Sleepwalker" and spreading the love. Those five-star reviews are rare and precious gifts and I am deeply appreciative. Truly.
Have a great holiday season. See you again soon!
All the best,
Chris B.

Why didn't we ask our grandparents before it was too late? My grandparents who escaped the death march never talked about it. The horrors were too vivid. Years after my grandfather died, I found out that he & all the villagers were locked in a church and the Turks burned it down. He was the only one who escaped. My Grandmother had 1 family portrait, how did she keep that on the death march? Why didn't we ask?

I know you are planning to do a book tour for your new book "The Jackel's Daughter which was released this month as I saw some of the dates that are already scheduled. Are you planning to come to Atlanta, Georgia for one of your stops? I really hope so, as I have loved every one of your books and have been attending many book tour events.
