I've read quite a few of your historical romance novels, I picked up Guardian's Mate the other day and began reading it. My first in your paranormal line. My question: The collars...when the Shifters turn into their respective animals, does the collar expand and then contract when they return to human form?

Hi Becky: Good question! Yes the Collars are programmed / magicked to change to fit the Shifter no matter what form they are in. I address this a little bit in Red Wolf (May 2017), that the Collars have to adapt to the Shifter at first, which can be painful. The Collars are a mix of technology and magic, perfected over the years. Thanks for the question!

I've read them all and now i'm re-reading them which brings me to my question: is there hope for romance for Neal Ingram? I really enjoy your Captain Lacey books. After I finished the Custom House Murder, I began rereading Sense and Sensibility and ran into Colonel Brandon again. Was this accidental naming? I must admit, I can imagine Colonel Christopher Brandon in later life becoming similar to Aloysius.
