I enjoyed having my brain turned inside out by reading this book. I had seen Cloud Atlas several times and wanted to cut my teeth on his newest book first. There were times when I almost put it down altogether which is always a sign that I have been yanked out of my comfort zone. So I kept reading - though I have to admit the main character was my life line. Did Mitchell do this consciously or unconsciously?
