In Until We Touch, the scene where Larissa rescued Percy was so quick... What was he doing and how did Larissa know instantly that he needed to be rescued?

Hi, Karen. Percy was sleeping on a park bench, which is an extremely unusual sight in Fool's Gold. Larissa isn't the kind of person to think, "Hm, that's odd" and keep driving. She's the kind of person to stop and ask questions, and Percy simply couldn't NOT tell her the truth. When she discovered why he was there and realized that he needed help, whether he knew it or not, she helped. That's what she does. That's what she always does. What she didn't know at the time was what an incredible young man Percy would turn out to be.
