Josi S. Kilpack Read critically, meaning you read something and then dissect what you liked, what you didn't, what you would have changed. This will help you to be more objective about your work and be willing to make changes instead of feel like what you write is always perfect. And attend writing conferences, it's the best place to learn what you don't know you don't know. It's not an easy path and will likely take you a great deal of time and effort to reach the level where you can make money equal to the time you spend, but it's wonderful to do what you love.
