In NOS4A2 why did you choose the last name Manx for the main villain? This stuck out to me because the Manx is my favorite breed of cat, so I hope you didn't pick it to make a commentary on cats!

Nope. I have absolutely nothing against a perfectly lovely breed of cat. A Norton Manx is a British Motorcycle, and this is a book that was written by a guy who had English bikes very much on the brain.

Obviously your background is defined as "horror" and "thriller" but I see from interviews that you have a very wide and eclectic taste in literature. In the future, is there anything you'd like to do or try that is maybe not your stereotypical "Joe Hill" novel like romance, a historical epic or noir for example?
