I was about to start a review copy of NO DARKER PLACE, only to find that there is a prequel novella detailing much of Bobbie Gentries' past and the tragedy in her life. Will it be necessary to go back and read the prequel for full understanding? I don't want not knowing key elements to affect my read or review.

I'm thrilled you're reading No Darker Place! The prequel, The Blackest Crimson, is available in ebook only and is on sale now. I don't believe it's essential to read the prequel first. Many details are woven into No Darker Place about that story. However, if you have the time I do think the prequel will add depth to your understanding of what makes Bobbie who she is as No Darker Place begins. Enjoy!

I'm an aspiring writer, but I'm dealing with two things: I get discouraged every single day because 96% of manuscripts are rejected, and I haven't had an idea for years, literally. There's too many people wanting to be writers, and knowing there's so much competition just kills me a little every day.
