Can I simply congratulate you with your first book which is amazing? The amount of research you've done is astonishing. I am not of Russian background but I'm from Lithuania and since historically Lithuania had so much intertwined politics going on with Kiev's Rus and Grand Duchy of Muscow, I really felt that authenticity in your book. Really good research. Even mentioned Litva once, haha :)

Katherine Arden Thank you very much! I am so glad you liked the novel. I really tried to "do my homework" with it and make it feel authentic. It's really easy to fall into cliche, as a non-Russian writing about Russia and I didn't want to do that. Also I think Litva besieged Moscow twice around this time so that was definitely worth a mention ;) The sequel to tBAtN takes place IN medieval Moscow. I hope you'll pick that one up as well.
