I have always wanted to write a book, and have even tried a few times but I seemed to lose what I wanted to say before I wrote it down. Do you have any tips for new writers that may help me?

Lurlene McDaniel It's a long difficult process. I recommend reading "How-to" books, to get an overview of the process---outlining, plotting, character development, etc. So many good books by very good authors. Select a few, read them, especially in the genre you wish to write for. Have a good background in grammar, and try your hand at blogging. Learn how to express your ideas and feelings, b/c fiction writing is about bringing characters to life physically and emotionally.
