I'm really fascinated by the way in which the media and society immediately try to figure out the motives of a shooter when a tragedy occurs. They try to create a narrative that helps them understand who the shooter was and why they did what they did. But the messy truth is that there's never just one narrative, there's no single profile that can be used to identify someone who might be capable of such an act, and Violent Ends was an attempt to explore who a shooter was before he became violent.
