Misty asked:

I am currently reading wizard and glass and I'm wondering if I should read the wind through the keyhole next since it's technically book 4.5 or if I should read it in published order? No spoilers please

Tyler Disclaimer: Wind Through the Keyhole was the first Dark Tower book I read because I found it for cheap. I'm currently reading them in order and just finished Wizard and Glass (haven't read the last 3 yet).

I don't think there's a hard and fast rule to this question. WttK is much like WaG in that it tells a story within a story and doesn't service the overall plot of the Dark Tower series. If you loved the character development and getting to know the world in WaG then read WttK next. However, if you're like me and felt like WaG was a bit tiresome and just want to get back on the quest for the Dark Tower I'd skip WttK and read it last, it has a good story in and of itself but doesn't service the plot of the series.
Mark Wilson Yeah, definitely read Wind before Wolves if it's not too late. Wind Through the Keyhole, I think, makes for an excellent bridge.
Cameron Mozee-Baum Wind Through the Keyhole was pointed out by some critics as providing an excellent bridge between Books 4 and 5 in smoothing the way for King's increasing emphasis on metafiction in the latter half of the series. Read Wind first, then Wolves.
Phillip Shifflet Are there spoilers in The Wind through the Keyhole that will ruin the last three books of the series?

I'm working through it for my first time.
