I am a HUGE fan of all of your books and I have the hardest time ever deciding which one is my favorite. However, I think I've found it with Truly Madly Guilty. It was insanely good! Do you write the stories in the order laid out in the book, with the back and forth of timelines and the changing of narration? Or do you write big chunks of each characters story and then find a way to tie it all together? Biggest fan:)

Thank you so very much, Kelly. I generally try to write scenes in the order that I think they are going to be laid out in the book, but then at the end I do a lot of shuffling. This was a really tricky one because I didn't want to reveal what happened at the bbq too soon or too late. I think some readers found the wait too excruciating. So I'm glad you liked it!

I know this is about asking you a question but I do not have questions to ask as of now. Just started reading recently and I picked up your book - Big Little Lies. I love how you raised serious issues about domestic violence. Thank you for the questions at the end of the story - it stimulated my thinking. Moving on to The Husband's Secret next (you really love secrets? haha) Thank you Ms Moriarty.

Hi Liane, love your books. Having read Big Little Lies and heard about the upcoming HBO series, I was wondering how involved you are in the production of the series. So much of what I love about your writing is the internal dialogue -- the thoughts and observations of the characters; has there been any discussion on how to bring that aspect to the TV screen? Thank you! --Brian

Do you think one of your next protagonists might be LGBTQ? I think the balance of humor and dark plot twists in your writing would be perfect to handle the problems LGBTQ people face. I love your writing! I didn't even read the description when your new book came out, at first - I knew it'd be amazing regardless, being yours!
