I was wondering how authors did it. I am trying to find good titles for some of my stories, and I am coming up with blanks. I was hoping that there was some kind of formula that would help me along. How many times did you have to change Ella Enchanted's title?

If there's a formula, I don't know it. I have written two posts on my blog about titles, which you may find helpful. As for ELLA ENCHANTED, my publisher asked me to come up with a list of possible titles and one of them was ENCHANTED ELLA. They reversed the words, and voila!
