Goodreads asked Misty Singer:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Misty Singer Strange as it might sound, I don't generally get writer's block. I have something far, far worse... committed procrastination.
Like 'Oh, I'll have time to do that tomorrow...' all the time.
Being a mama of four, I unfortunately don't get to sit at my computer all day and write. So, every year (during school supply season) I buy up a ton (seriously, a TON) of Composition books for super cheap, and that is where all my ideas come to life. I keep one within reach pretty much at all times, and just jot down ideas as they strike me. If I have the time to flesh it out a little, I will. But what goes in the book becomes something completely different on the screen. I 'write' on my computer... I almost NEED to have a keyboard in order to turn an idea into... an experience. I will think I have something pretty good on paper... and then I get my hands on my keyboard and it morphs into something so much better.
Anyway... back on track :)
When I do get writer's block, I grab my Composition book, huddle somewhere comfortable, turn on some music, and force myself to write... something. Anything. And soon, I've got something to work with. It's the procrastination part of me that kills me.
