Rachel Renée Russell Hello Amelia! I was inspired to write the Misadventure Of Max Crumbly for two reasons. First, a lot of my boy fans who read Dork Diaries asked me to write a book with a guy main character. Secondly, I realized that everyone needs a hero. The book takes that concept and flips it on the main character, so HE has to be the hero that he needs. I hope that the book resonates with readers so that they can stick up for themselves as well.
