What’s the best thing about being a writer?

Andie J. Christopher Never wearing pants. Just kidding. The day after my first book came out, I woke up to a message from a reader saying how much she enjoyed my book and was looking forward to the next one. When I started writing, it felt like a long shot that anyone but my family members and a few friends would read my work. To have a stranger read my book from cover-to-cover on release day and take the time to let me know she liked it just floored me.
