Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Daryl Anderson My upcoming book, which is tentatively titled The Road from Elysium, is the one I've lived with the longest. Back in 2007, I was working as an RN in psych ward and thought that a murder mystery set in this dramatic environment would be compelling. It would be another year before I left the nursing to focus on writing, and several more before I actually starting writing.

Even though I'd toyed with the idea for years, this novel gave me more trouble than my earlier books. Go figure!

At any rate, I kept at it and the novel is in final edits and should be coming out later this years, which proves that at least 90% of writing is simple determination.
