Greta Riordan
Greta Riordan asked May Sage:

Why where the last three books in the Not Quite a Fairy Tale so short?

May Sage I wrote long books when the story warranted it and shorter one when it didn't. The one actual short story, Rumpelstiltskin, is advertised as such :)
And to answer your questions on my old website, I don't plan on lengthening those which are already out, no, except for That Damn Pea, that had to be written at a certain length to be part of the Once Upon A Happy Ending anthology. I might write the occasional side story perhaps, and I do try to give us a glimpse of the other character's lives as we go further into the series.
Sleeping beauty, the next book out, is a long Novella, That damn pea will be a slightly shorter one (still three times longer than what it was in the collection) and Hooks and Tinks, due in January, will be a novel. I haven't outlined any other one yet.

The next fairy tale may be out between the end of the month and December. Afterwards, you'll get another one shortly, though I'm roughly publishing one every two months in 2017. I've had health issues slowing me down recently, :(
All the best,
May
Ps: I love that you're anxious to know more about the series :)
