I've finished reading the Inkdeath, and I'd like to say I thought it was one of the best books I've ever read. I am trying to write for fun, and I wanted to ask: How did you think up of your character's names and the settings in the Inkworld? Your books are awesome, by the way.

Hi Geraldine,
thank you so much for your very flattering words about Inkdeath:) What a magical message to receive! And thrilled to hear you're writing - and it should always be for fun!:) As for the names.....I get them from name dictionaries, fairy tales, plant encyclopedias, book indexes, history books, travel guides...they need to taste of the place and time, you find your characters at! as for the stories...let them come to you. Find them in the labyrinths of words and feelings that open up in your heart.

I saw Inkheart's movie and I knew right away that I needed to read that book. Of course, I fell in love with Inkspell and I still have to read Inkdeath. I just want to know how did you get that amazing idea? People who can read and take characters out of books! It's so simple and so perfect and you don't know how badly I've been wishing to do that my whole life!

Hello, I'm a huge fan of your work and unlike most other people here, the Mirrorworld series is my favorite :) I just wanted to ask tweo things about book 4: 1. Is there going to be more 'screen time' for Jacob and Fox in book 4? They are my favorite characters and I felt quite sad when they weren't that much in the Golden Yarn compared to the other parts. 2. How is the writing on book 4 go?

Dear Ma'am, I'd like to disturb you with a question ( after all, that's what this column is meant for and I didn't make it serve its purpose last time ) . If you happen to get a wish which will allow you to read your most favorite character out of a book, which character would you read out ? { Thank you replying to my comment previously. It means a LOT to me. }
